It was not more than a year ago today that our family embarked on a journey in the midst of global pandemic and subsequent lockdowns.
We knew it would be challenging to open a retail experience while our city was recovering. We hadn’t anticipated the slower pace at which our community would heal.
It was our hope to utilize the space downtown, located at 211 N Laura Street, as a storefront for our formalwear company, and commissary kitchen alongside our friends and supporters from Kitchen Independent. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to sustain this location.
With that being said, we want to ensure you that Kalypso Couture is ready to serve. We believe we need to take a more direct approach with community engagement. It is our aim to utilize this opportunity to reconnect with local designers, creators, and our neighbors. To inspire conversations on sustainable clothing, heirloom garments, cost per wear, and dressing for the professional world without sacrificing what makes you perfect.
As always, it is our mission to create timeless clothing with a multigenerational appeal.
We want to express our deepest thanks for the support you have shown us through this endeavor. We look forward to serving you. Thank you for keeping us inspired.
- Michael and Bethany
